How To: Change DPI Scaling on the LG V30
The LG V30 is an amazing device that will contend for best smartphone of 2017. It has all the major features you'd expect from a high-end flagship, including a great screen. One that, luckily, we can customize to our liking by tweaking its DPI.DPI, or Dots Per Inch, is a number that reflects how the screen would be scaled if it were printed. For smartphones, it is an indicator of how large or small the icons and text will appear on the screen. Most Android devices don't let you change the DPI value without rooting, but the LG V30 is different.Changing the DPI is especially helpful if your vision isn't 20/20 and you'd like things to be a bit more "zoomed in." It's also a great way to reclaim more screen real estate, because even though the V30 has a 6-inch display, its default DPI may be too large or too small for some. Fortunately, LG gave control of the DPI to users so they can set it to whatever they want, and best of all, it's an easy-to-use menu option.Don't Miss: 8 Ways to Increase Battery Life on Your LG V30
Changing Display ScalingTo change the DPI of your V30, head to your phone's main Settings menu by selecting the "Settings" icon in the app drawer or pressing the gear icon in the Quick Settings menu. From there, choose the Display tab, then select "Display size" and adjust the slider to whatever DPI settings you wish. As you alter the slider, the icons (and if you swipe to the left, the fonts) will reflect the position of the slider, providing a real-time view of your changes. By providing DPI scaling for the V30, LG has expanded the market for this device. Whether you prefer small icons or you need larger ones due to vision impairment, you can do that with a few quick taps. Now that you know how to, did you adjust the DPI of your LG V30?
